We invite all media to promote this contest. It is our greatest interest that writers from the state of Washington participate and have the opportunity to show their talent and literary ability in the Spanish language.

Spanish is the second most spoken language in the United States. We want to encourage native speakers as well as Spanish lovers to share their vision and cultural and ethnic heritage through the written word.

About Seattle Escribe

Seattle Escribe is a group of writers who write in Spanish. It started from creative writing workshops in February 2014.

Our goal is to provide an open platform for all, for creative writing in Spanish in Seattle and its surrounding areas. We currently have more than 80 members.

Three years after its founding, Seattle Escribe is currently offering free creative writing workshops taught by literary personalities as well as group volunteers and members of the board of directors.

We have a website, a Facebook page and a digital literary magazine that is spread in social networks.

The board, with the support of the rest of the group, organizes free cultural events open to the public and sometimes we join forces with other organizations to collaborate in festivals and events, creating a link with the community.
